  Constitutional Law in the United Kingdom

Canada's constitution was designed to be "similar in principle" to that of the U.K. The highest court in Canada used to be the British Judicial Committee of the Privy Council. And, until 1982, the Canadian constitution could not be amended without Britain's consent.
